The Ouroboros ring
The Ouroboros Ring is an eye-catching piece. Originating in Egypt, The Ouroboros has been given several depictions and meanings, although it primarily symbolises the periodic nature of the Universe: creation out of destruction, life out of death. All in all, it is a symbol of wholeness or infinity.
From the top of the horns to the bottom of the nose, the Ourboros ring measures 19.5mm in length, and the width from horn to horn being 11.25mm, eye to eye being 11mm.
This bold piece weighs 6 grams, giving it a light as a feather feel yet still achieving the boldness to the eye.
Featuring spectacular detail, the silver has been oxidized and then polished to give the ring more depth to enhance the detail and intricate work.
This design is also available in 9ct and 18ct gold.
All pieces are made with love in William Llewellyn Griffiths’ Fitzroy Melbourne studio.
