THE ARIMASPOI GRIFFIN RING
THE ARIMASPOI GRIFFIN RING
In stock
With the head of an eagle, the body of a lion and a serpent’s tail, griffins were guardians of ancient gold hoards and regal masters of the sky, mythological creatures said to have drawn the chariots of Greek Gods Zeus and Apollo. The one-eyed Arimaspians who lived at the foothills of the Rhipaean Mountains in Skythia warred the Griffins at the northern most boundaries of the world, seeking always to steal the gold they guarded deep within the mountains.
Meticulously handcrafted in 18ct yellow and rose gold this captivating ring features a gorgeous pink peach rosé coloured square cut 10.65ct 13mm x 13mm tourmaline set inverted and perched atop an exquisitely detailed plinth-like setting featuring ornate fine Acanthus leaf scrollwork and granules.
This stunning centre stone is flanked by two guardian griffins adorned with 4 round cut 2.5mm diameter rubies, 18ct rose gold wings and 18ct yellow gold tails which sweep elegantly down the sides of the ring shank to a central focal point at the base of the ring where a sparkling round 4.5mm pale blue sapphire is set.
Sitting 18mm above the finger, the ring measures 28.5mm at it’s widest point and 15mm along the finger.
This ring weighs 26 grams and fits Australian & British size O (US size 7). Ring size can be adjusted within reason.
