In Ancient Rome, Venus was long associated with both emeralds and pearls having risen from the ocean emerging from an oyster. Inspired by the opulence of gilded baroque mirrors, these earrings take their name from the Renaissance painting ‘Venus with a Mirror’ by Titian.
Handcrafted in 18ct yellow gold, each earring is delicately formed with a cornucopia of fine flourishes of scrollwork, floral garlands, and shells. The studs themselves feature two octagon emeralds beneath golden shells cradling two round creamy white pearls. Within each golden frame lies a pear shaped Zambian emerald. Each pear cut emerald is flanked by two sparkling white round brilliant cut diamonds. Two pearls complete the drop in a statement magnifique!
Measuring 62mm in length from the top of the shell to the bottom of the pearls, each earring is 19mm in width at it's widest point and weighs 10.22 grams (total weight 20.44 grams).
