THE ETERNAL HUMMINGBIRD (AUTOMATA BOX)

A mesmerizing fusion of art, jewellery and engineering, this automaton brings a hummingbird to life with breathtaking detail. The bird is crafted from heat-anodized titanium to reveal vibrant blue and purple hues and accented white diamonds (2 x 1.5mm) eyes. It flutters its wings when a delicate hand cog (featuring a cabochon emerald) is turned, appearing to sip nectar from a meticulously crafted titanium flower. Solid gold stamens, crowned with rubies (3 x 1.7mm), add a striking contrast to the composition. Encased in a sapphire glass and 18ct gold recepticle, this piece is both a marvel of precision and a tribute to nature’s fleeting beauty. Measuring 90mm x 50mm (widest point) x 38mm deep, it weighs 127g including its 50cm chain. The mechanism hidden within the pendant is stainless steel and the cogs are brass.
